Eoin Sweeney

SWNY has been DJing since 2022, with a style that moves between deep house, tech house, and hypnotic techno.

In 2023 he started Strident Grooves, a Cork-based collective built around inclusivity and community. The nights focus on dark rooms, quality sound, and creating a space where the music is the priority.

Alongside running events, SWNY is also Vice Chair of the Electronic Music Council, working to support and grow Cork’s electronic music scene, and Chair of UCC DJ Society, where he helps newer DJs gain the skills and experience to play in clubs.

He’s already played across the city at a range of events, including sets with Mode_1, Jon10, Cailín, and Siomone, as well as a Culture Night 2024 boat party with Hooligan.

For SWNY, it’s about keeping things authentic: good music, strong community, and a dancefloor that feels open to everyone.
