Usually I establish themes and I sometimes mix some text/book excerpts inbetween blocks of music. Sometimes there are music guests who play live. Sometimes there are playlist collabs. I try to make a coherent show every time with similar vibes among the songs even if they are very different. I always end with a dancey/goofy mood/song.
