Exploring so-called ‘outside’ singer songwriters. The work of these artists usually take the form of home recordings, field recordings or ramshackle studio recordings. They all present a unique voice in songwriting and could be classified nominally as folk and pop. Some examples of artists would be Connie Converse, Syd Barrett, Molly Drake, Daniel Johnston, John Fahey and plenty more.
