C'mere to me with Noreen Murphy
by Noreen Murphy“Noreen travelled to Kinsale to meet bookseller Simon Prim and his guests, John Robb and Richard Jobson, who were performing a spoken-word event in Prim’s Bookshop. John Robb is an English musician, author, music journalist, and media commentator. He is best known as the bassist and vocalist for the post-punk band The Membranes and as the frontman of the punk rock group Goldblade.
Robb is the founder, editor, and writer for the Louder Than War website and its accompanying monthly magazine. In addition to his journalism, he has authored several books on music and frequently appears in the media as a cultural and music commentator.
In 2014, he founded the Louder Than Words Festival, an annual celebration of music writing held in Manchester every November, where he continues to serve as executive director. Robb is also a TEDx speaker and a spoken word performer.
Richard Jobson is a Scottish musician, poet, filmmaker, writer, and producer, as well as a television presenter. He first gained recognition as the singer and songwriter for the punk and post-punk band Skids.
Simon Prim is the visionary behind Prim’s Bookshop Bibliotherapy in Kinsale. A bookshop by day that morphs into a wine bar and cultural space in the evening. Originally from Youghal, Simon now calls Kinsale home.”
