C'mere to me w/ Noreen Murphy

The East Cork Songwriting Festival was a vibrant, one-day event held at the Sirius Arts Centre in Cobh, designed to celebrate the art of songwriting. Organised by the incredibly talented and lovely coordinators of The East Cork Songwriting Group, Eavan O’Leary, Yvonne Redmond. Barry Quealy looked after the tech on the day. The festival welcomed musicians of all experience levels for a day of hands-on workshops, collaboration, and live performances. Attendees participated in workshops led by Irish songwriters Cormac O’Caoimh, Lynda Cullen, and Nicole Maguire. Topics in the workshops included finding unique vocal styles, tackling writer’s block, and songwriting techniques. The day gave participants the opportunity to co-write new material with others and take the stage to perform their newly crafted songs. The event wrapped up with an intimate, “in-the-round” gig by the festival’s mentors.
