C'mere to me w/ Noreen Murphy
by Noreen Murphy Archive Not AvailableI spoke to Rose Flynn and Barry O’Flynn from the Cork Stoma Support Group.
A stoma is a surgically created opening on the abdomen that brings a portion of the bowel or urinary tract to the skin’s surface, allowing waste to exit the body.1 in 300 people in Ireland have these life-saving pouches and, in my opinion, it’s about time we talk about it. The group supports and empowers ostomates to live life to their fullest potential. They provide practical and emotional support and advice to people living with a stoma, their families and friends. The show is packed full of useful information. Special thanks to Dr Mary Favier and Stoma Nurses Ruth Burkley from Hollister and Eileen Lim Joon from Coloplast.
